I'm climbing Mt Beerwah in the morning hopefully sailing in the afternoon going to be stuffed for work Monday morning I hope.
Car I s packed - hoping for a quick run up the highway after work to catch a twilight sail this arvo. Hope I remember how to do all of this. Will my harness still fit??
Cheers Jeff
Sunday was by no means great, but still good to get out for a sail. Couple more knots would have been nice. So many times I was just on the brink of getting on the plane.
Forecast for the up coming Saturday is looking good, fingers crossed it holds up.
Yep, it was another one of those days that builds up looking good and just doesn't pan out right. Jeff sounds like he jagged another good sail this arvo on his longboard.
Nothing a bit of salt water up the nose won't fix Walshie. You getting that mast still? Tomorrow's looking iffy, I'm thinking a late morning cruise at Phillip Street if the NW gets up but I really need to make some roof racks for the caravan. But sunday arvo at South Esplanade is looking not too bad on the BOM wind model.
I'm free Sunday morning if anything develops. Off to the sail repair man tomorrow morning before work
Ok, we'll keep an eye on it. The falling tide sunday arvo at south esplanade is looking like our only hope now on the BOM model.
Good luck Adam, the wind is a bit unpredictable at the moment we should have sailed Saturday arvo hey? Thursday arvo looks to be awesome for offshore Beachmere and Friday through Sunday back to SE so maybe Sandstone?
Good news Jeff, I'm out for this week with work but hopefully we'll get a sail in over the weekend. Adam's keen with these afternoon tides. If the forecast holds, try Philip Street in the offshore wind on Thursday.
Anybody around for mid week sailing. Winds looking promising thu fri for Bribie maybe Turners Camp
Cheers Jeff
I'm out till Saturday Jeff, if there's enough west in it Saturday morning I might have an off shore wind sail at Philip Street on the high tide.
Looking at forecast not sure now about sailing - dropped heaps.
Was thinking if the afternoon winds develop I will do low tide longboard at turners camp
Very excited about SE forecast mon tue wed - on night duty - prepared to sacrifice sleep
Cheers Jeff
Hey Jeff, the BOM ocean wind model is still showing a bit of a westerly blast through the day on Saturday.

I was thinking of sailing the 1038 high tide at Philip Street if you're keen for something different. It's offshore which means billiard table flat water but hang in close just in case of a gear breakage. I don't know what the other lads are up to. If I can escape here early enough today I'll try to get to Turners Camp if there's wind.
Ow OWWWW!!! Janet and I are obviously planning some sailing as the weather warms up! Brand spankin' new Naish GT140 bought from a chap called brad at a fire sale price. And a new sail. Exciting.
Certainly hope so John. Quitting the dirt bike riding - spending too much time injured. Janet really likes sailing and it's something we can do together.

Looks lovely.
Looking forward to the warmer SE NE winds on the way
Embarrassed to say we actually have a pigeon pair of these boards ... 120L for her and 140L for him.
Very cool guys, new boards have been on offer at prices too hard to resist hey. I looked seriously at the GT and ended up buying a JP Magic Ride 154 and am just itching to give it a try, tomorrow's my day.
