A BONGAREE BEDTIME STORY

After a good bit of fluffing around in the carpark, Dags finally figures out what board, sail and fin combination he would like to use and gets into the water.

The wind disappears.

Nice work Dags.

THE END

I totally wasted soooo much time today. I think that is the most I've ever stuffed around, and if I could kick my own ass, I would. Scavenged a few moment's though.

And I though it was me rigging a sail... I got half an hour on a 6.6 before it died. Should have rigged 7.3 or 7.8 though.. oh well I got 29 knots on the way home in the car anyway??????

Paddles mate, at least you only rigged one and didn't wet it.
Poor Mark turned up yesterday and rigged twice, and didn't get either of them wet.
I feel sorry for him because it's happened a few times lately. He might be cursed.
Did I mention I hate Winter!!!!

Dags dont worry. Just get your SR250L finished n on the water. Then there need only be ONE choice for making the others look like Fluffers. Gusty , light or no wind these boards excel.

It wouldn't make any difference Andrew, he'd still take 2 hours to figure out whether to use it or another board. Mark would have been spewing doing that Dags. After the other day when I'd already rigged two sails and then started to get the third set up, I decided not to get psyched out watching you decide what sail to use ever again, I hate changing rigs, guts it I say!

Andrew, as anxious as I am, it's going to be a while before I get around to doing it.
No different to how I do it at the beach at the moment. (F**k Around Darren).

A duck walks into a pub and orders a pint of beer and a ham sandwich.

The barman looks at him and says, "hang on you're a duck."

"I see your eyes are working," replies the duck.

"And you can talk!" exclaims the barman.

"I see your ears are working too" says the duck.

"Now if you don't mind, can I have my beer and my sandwich please?"

"Certainly, sorry about that," says the barman as he pulls the duck's pint.

"It's just we don't get many ducks in this pub. What are you doing round this way?"

"I'm working on the building site across the road," explains the duck "I'm a plasterer."

The flabbergasted barman cannot believe the duck and wants to learn more, but takes the hint when the duck pulls out a newspaper from his bag and proceeds to read it. The duck reads his paper, drinks his beer, eats his sandwich, bids the barman good day and leaves.

This happens for two weeks, then one day the circus comes to town.

The ringmaster comes into the pub for a pint and the barman says to him "You're with the circus, aren't you? Well, I know this duck that could be just brilliant in your circus. He talks, drinks beer, eats sandwiches, reads the newspaper and everything!"

"Sounds marvelous," says the ringmaster, handing over his business card "Get him to give me a call."

So the next day when the duck comes into the pub the barman says "Hey Mr. Duck, I reckon I can line you up with a top job, paying really good
money."

"I'm always looking for the next job," Says the duck "Where is it?"

"At the circus," says the barman.

"The circus" repeats the duck.

"That's right," replies the barman.

"The circus?" the duck asks again. With the big tent?"

"Yeah," the barman replies.

"With all the animals who live in cages, and performers who live in caravans?" says the duck.

"Of course," the barman replies.

"And the tent has canvas sides and a big canvas roof with a hole in the middle?" persists the duck.

"That's right!" says the barman.

The duck shakes his head in amazement, and says.......

"What the f#*k would they want with a plasterer?"

Lightwind race practice at RQYS for the father and son team. Lots of pumping trying to get in front of each other

quote of the morning.... Max...'you got me on this one dad!' Think I better enjoy it while it lasts - recon it'll be 'wait for me son' all too soon ;-)

cheers Jeff

I actually did sail Pete, it was a 10kn windSUP wonderland here at Beachmere yesterday till I bit off a bit more than I could chew and sailed a long way downwind and then the wind started to drop out as I tacked my way back to the car. It was very slow going in the end. No wind at all here today.

Nice gentle cruise on the Raceboard and 9.5 at Turners.
Carpark was busy, caravan, fisherman and boats, but no other sailboarders.
Where could they all be??? Romantic walks along the beach? Sitting by a nice log fire? Catching upon some beauty sleep? Starring at flagpoles???
Strange days indeed, most peculiar mama.

No, it really was great to get some stuff done for a change.
It really was. It really, really, really, was!!!
Really!!!
Luckily it didn't use up too much of our time going through our repertoire of jokes'.
I saw your post Brad, and it really made me feel happy deep down inside that you got a day at the beach.
All joke's aside though, it must have been a beautiful day.

I was sitting by a nice log fire Bradley, and I had a little beauty sleep too. I hope you left before the sun went down, that's when the Turner's Camp "After 5" crew come out to admire you in your speedos

Looking like gentleman's longboard sailing this week until friday, midday high tides and winter sun equals happy days

Don't own any speedos, not old enough for that. Sorry Jeffrey.
Did warn someone from one of the vans who came over for a chat about his Wally days about the rep of the park. He was moving on any way.
Haven't been there for a while, nice big half submerged gybing mark straight out from the carpark. Has it been there a while?

It's been floating there for a while and been sunk for not that long, the VMR put out a hazard notice a couple of weeks back. I wouldn't want to run into it.

Sunken boat, there's a dead houseboat over the other side too apparently. I thought it was that big jigger that was parked right out the front of the park, but I'm wondering whether it might be a different one now.

Pretty sure it is the one that was about 500m south of the car park.
Someone is looking at a bit of a clean up bill, assuming they know who's it is I suppose.

Has a few of those tall traffic bollards on it's aerials etc, so it should be visible on a big tide. But I hope no one is hammering into Ningi creek with the sun in their eyes.
