Went for a visit today to see my mates. 'Feeling frisky' still waiting for final clearance from the cardiologist
i found wind and enough water but my mates had bailed early???
fickle forecast
had a chat to mark - big delays due to gridlock getting in - must be roadworks up near the pub??
Cheers jeff
...photos always seem to go wrong
Yeah, it's baby steps for Imax. Adam is trying to teach him how Bribie people park in car parks which is diagonally across two spaces and he's also learning about out how to not use a roundabout.
Lucky I got a 4WD with a big bull bar .
Clipping curbs , wondering off the road , bumping over animals don't worry me none .
Well Sandstoners, it's time to make sure you've got enough Nurofen and chocolate bars to get you through Sunday/Monday/Tuesday. Tides are a bit ikky but late morning sailing on the falling tide might be pretty good
If you don't like the look of the tides over there come round to Queen's beach. No problem with tides there.
Well the last big blow the other week was a flop here at GB. Im not gettin amped up until im on the water.
Get ready folks .
Strong wind , starting tomorow lunchtime , same direction , six days straight.
Im carb loading right now , in preparation , Buuurrp
Four days straight is my record.
I wonder what part of my body will start crying first .
Probably easier guessing what parts won't hurt ....none
I'm out for today, but I don't think there was much wind when there was water at Sandstone anyway. Adam rang and said he's sailing Bongaree this arvo but I'll go to Sandstone tomorrow morning, there should be enough tide to sail till about 1230-1300.
Good fun at Sandstone today, a little under powered as the wind slowly dropped but a great sailing day.
Bugger, i am camping up at golden beach and sailing up here saturday sunday. So i will miss you grubby southerners.
A good fun late arvo session with Imax yesterday and a very low high tide. I tried my new "Imax Shallow Special" fin (a wide chord formula fin reshaped from deep tuttle to powerbox and then cut down to 42cm) and kicked off being a little underpowered with a 6.5 sail but then it was great with plenty of nice wind. We got smashed after that with me coming back from Bribie overpowered and out of control for about a km before stacking it because it stared to blow in quite hard. Imax was using a 7.2 cammed sail and me 6.5 battened, and we both got blown off the water and headed home rather than mess around changing down. We'll see what this arvo brings
There might be opportunity to self isolate at Sandstone on your sailboard tomorrow and Tuesday. Looks like there might be enough water to sail until early afternoon
Sandstone meetup. Tony supplied the biscuits. Great to finally meet Colin
Boys got some early action. They then came out for '****s and giggles' practicing tacks and gybes
gym was closed so got some ?safe? Exercise done
Never a dull moment at sandstone when jeff is there! I could hardly hold the camera still from laughing so hard.
