Who would plant a sambuca palm ?
It's a nasty brought in weed.
Could be worse Imax, could have sculled a Sambucca and wake up next to an Rsx board !
At least I wasn't naked , I didn't ride her , from what I remember we just kissed .
You hugged her now she won't leave

My daughters boyfriend popped his cherry with her the other day .Riding her in and out cumming back to the starting point . No walk of shame . He did good . He's in love. He wants to ride her again with more gusto.

Only once with the RSX was enough, never going to do that again. I cried after it.
Said boyfriend had another go today and preferred my EVA covered formula board . RSX got dumped after one date . He actually did very well . Second sail ever for about two hours , didn't fall in . 5 to 10 kts. In control up wind , down wind . A one m wide formula board is a great learners board .

Formula might be stable but it has zero glide, either it's slogging or planing, that's not so good for learning.

Yeah , he was only slogging . But they are stable , turn on a dime and go upwind well. Good for those first couple of lessons. He was swapping between the formula and RSX and preferred the formula .I personally hate them for the reasons you say.
Gday, My name is Luke. I am a complete newb to windsurfing and just got myself a basic wind sup and a sail. I did a intro course at Manly and have been practicing at Beachmere and building my skills. I just saw some posts here about other guys being active windsurfers in the area. Would like to connect with others and develop my skills. I am wanting to upgrade from the wind sup to a board that will help me with water starts and foot straps harness etc. Still early days for me but just wanted to introduce myself and maybe see you out there sometime.
Hey Luke. Welcome to the club.
Sounds like you have gone the right way about introducing yourself to the sport.
There are a group of us who sail in the area fairly regularly. Paddles who started this thread is a Beachmere local and sails there on Windsurfing gear and also on a Bic Sup too. Hopefully he will see this soon and say hi.
Our main spots are Sandstone Point at Oxley Place. Good in most directions except for a true northerly. Tide dependant, but pretty shallow and safe except for some rocks to the right of the carpark.
Turners Camp in a Northerly. Can be a bit lumpy and has some run in it with the tides. You would need some local knowledge here as there are some oyster banks to avoid.
Bongaree, from south of the Museum. Good spot, but can be a bit tricky, especially when the tide is running. We tend to sail over to the shoal across the passage, but the waves can stand up pretty good when tide against wind on the way over.
I reckon there may be a few of us at Sandstone tomorrow, if the forecast is right. Probably until fairly late if the wind stays in.
Call in and say hi, if you are around. Otherwise post up on here and someone should let you know where we are planning on going.
Cheers, Brad.
Howdy Luke, keep an eye on this thread to see where anyone is sailing and I'll send you a private message with my phone number because you mightn't be able to message anyone yet because you've only posted once on Seabreeze. I love sailing my WindSup and am happy to sail with you at Beachmere or Sandstone. There's nearly always someone sailing around here so once you get to know some guys you will always have someone to sail with. There's also a few of us that use big boards as everyday boards so you'll be able to have a crack at a shortboard when you're ready.
Thanks guys for the welcome and look forward to meeting you. I'll try and check out sandstone tomorrow but to be honest I've only ever sailed in 10-15 knots in my 5.5 sail. Do you think 20 knots will kill a complete newb like myself?
You've gotta do it sometime, and Sandstone is super safe because its pretty shallow, you will be sailing parallel to the beach and the SE will be pushing you back onto the beach.
I mowed the MX track then was a sniffling hay fever mess for the rest of Saturday. I sailed on the windSUP this morning with Luke at Phillip Street and it was pretty slow even by windSUP standards but pretty good for Luke to practice his tacks and falling into the water technique Sandstone is looking like it might be a bit of alright tomorrow.

Don't just watch it, there's enough wind for sailing, I'm heading over there after lunch and it sounds like Col and Denis will be there too.

new comer tom trying out the venue
Col supplied the beers
VBs at that , fancy that .
Its a proven scientific fact that VB is the best post windsurfing sport drink . Endorsed by the Australian Sport Institute .,
Said no,one ever.
The Upside Down posted photo mystery can be solved by reducing the physical size of the image. Therefore the pixel count also.
Found this out the hard way after trying repeatedly to post pics from my new phone which has a much higher pixel camera.
Happy Days.
