Not a bad short session Sunday arvo.
A few of the regulars there, mostly the ones who can't be as picky as some.
Quite a few big swirls in the water. Saw Adam just miss a big turtle, so that is what I am telling myself the other ones were too.
Bit up and down as the wind is coming over the island. Probably will be a few of is there though. If the forecast is correct (doubtful) it could still be fun.
Hoping we are allowed out to play by Friday. First time I have seen green arrows on days off for quite a while.
Who is around?
is windsurfing 'exercise'?
Sure is! BUT
I just cruised down Bruce highway from Morayfield. Cops on Northbound side pulling over people towing boats n caravans. Trying to escape.
Maybe load your boards inside if possible.
Paddles hasn't been on the highway in years. Hobbits nearly never leave the Shire. We outsiders appreciate the heads up though Dark Man.
^ Make sure you sail til ya drop. Im out with knee injury. Make sure you guys take my share of the crankin wind.
Welcome to a new member of the Sandstone crowd
Dani approached us a month ago to get started, got herself some gear and with the light winds yesterday had some awesome success with a few sails up and down the beach
Col and Nigel came along for support and a chat
Cheers Jeff
You fellas have a magic spot, when the wind and tide line up!!
Had so much fun on 20cm delta In very flat water before you lot turned up
Hey Seabreezers, where is best launch spot for Bongaree? Planning on taking advantage of low tide and forecast SW Saturday morning
Bongaree at low tide or down at Colin spot at Banksia Beach. Bongaree no good at high tide unless you like it real rough.
Launch an hour or so before low tide and sail upwind to shallow water at Sandstone. Just wondering best rigging area?
I've got a spot ?
, I feel so proud , I think I need a sign , coffee spot and pop up bar . I wonder if Bribie council has that kind of splash cash ?
OK ,
tides at Colin's spot will be good from 9 -12:30
Adam and I were thinking of a better launch spot , ( possibly , hard to say ) , at the roundabout at Sylvan Beach Esplanade and Marina Boulavade . Instead of the ****ty shelf at the end of Sunderland dr.
Cross the shark infested inlet over to the sand banks .
Good place if the wind is cranking and speed is a thing .
If it's lower wind and just a play day , I would suggest Bongaree at low tide , ( same times ), good long runs , flattish water .
Higher tide and hell breaks loose like a motocross track . Good if your the chewin tobacco type.
