Gold! No jocks... or at least left them on for the photo shoot! Lets hope it's the 2nd one! LoL!

I didn't pick it!

They say the brain runs on 12 watts, and the body uses about 100 watts... including the 12 for the little brain, and probably another 12 for the little downstairs brain!

Another good point Scotty is to eat right from the start of day. So a good breakfast. Then morning tea, an early lunch at say 12 that way you not starving when you eat so you will eat less. Something for afternoon tea and an early dinner..

The green room is alive and well.
Thanks for the advice and encouragement.

Day 1 exercise:
Morning walk 2.5 k and same 2.5 k walk in arvo.
Total 5 k walk today.

Day 1 food:
Fresh detox juice for breaky.
Lunch salad - red cabbage, green cabbage, tomatoe, Leb cucumber, carrot, celery.
Had to mix in a can of tuna (in spring water).

Arvo had 2 apples.

Pre dinner: 2 kiwi fruit

Dinner: same salad as lunch and the Mrs has Atlantic Salmon in the oven.

Have a headache from caffeine withdrawals allready. Or my body is just saying WTF is going on.

Good onya mate, I wish you the very best.

Some advice given to me was "Don't forget your good fats each day, you will need some fats in your eating plan" when you get close to where you wanna be ... I have no clue to your size etc.

Chuck half an avocado into your salads during the day and some almonds to snack on ... About a dozen per day.
Eating between meals will boost your metabolism and that will burn fat all day long.

All the best fella.

^^^^^ cheers dotcom.
I have been throwing the av through the salad for years and with a squeeze of lemon as well - it's adds some flavour to a bland old salad for sure.
Funny you should mention almonds as I was munching on them when I came home.
I find I need a healthy snack to munch on when I get home so to see me through to dinner. Tonight I had 2 kiwi fruit, handful of almonds and 2 large glasses of water.
That does the trick.
Baked up a heap of sweet potatoe and pumpkin tonight and the Mrs cooked the grrouse T-bone.
I brushed the 5 day raw vege detox - gotta be realistic.

I actually went to KFC today - Don't panic I haven't gone of the rails. Story goes I was busting for a p155 and spotted a KFC so while I was there I grabbed a bottle of water. While I was waiting I noticed how many fat people were lining up to get fatter - fark that.

I've got leftovers of sweet potatoe and pumpkin to much on tomorrow.
Just need to get more organised the night before.

Great Stuff Scotty!

I've just lost 20Kg in just under 10 weeks - not gone hungry once and not done anymore exercise then normal (surf 2 -3 times a week!)!

My surfing has improved beyond belief, amazing how much easier it is to paddle and get into waves 20kg's lighter!

Good luck on your journey, its worth it!

Give me detail.
What did you eat ?
I'm on my 5th day and have def lost weight allready.
1st weigh in on Monday morning.
I just got home from work and had 2 vitas wheat type biscuits with sliced tomatoe and homous (I am aware this has a touch of fat) but better then butter.
It's all about changing habits, substituting foods and being realistic.
It has to be a lifestyle change and not a short term diet.

Mac, when you are 140+ kg, it's all about losing the weight.
Exercise will come when time permits which is not too far off.
I am lucky I am 6'2 with what you what you may call a large frame.
People don't believe when I tell them my weight as they say I carry it well.
In saying that, I still need to get down to 100-110.
I will breaking the cobwebs off the 666 this weekend. You can't beat a good 666 for core and all over toning.

Chrispy, some would disagree. Best to do both diet and exercise.

Exercise will help lose weight, but diet will help keep it off, so both are important IMHO

hmmmmmm ..... ok

Idea 1:get the little lady of the house to sit on yer back while yer on all fours (dangling a carrot or celery stick dipped with that Hommus caper you've mentioned in front of you) ...... if you manage to gobble the dangle you get to do some exercise .... eating sensibly & fun while toning scotty mate .... er a pre-requisite might be to shuffle the groms off to Grans place though we thinks

Idea 2: The avatar .... get a poster , cut the head off (yes sacrilege / blasphemous I know) and replace it with either a vege or a weetbix (geez a tub of that Hommus caper even) ..... healthy food will NEVER look so damned good .... lick the thang & eat the poster no fat there .... on the poster that is scotty mate

Scotty, I'm on this amazing cleansing program that removes toxins from a cellular level which allows the fat to break down easily. Also changed to the Paleo way of eating (same as mentioned above as Primal) - basically no wheat, sugar, dairy or crap that is not real food. Just read the label of ingredients of stuff you buy and make an informed decision of what you put into your body! I use a 80/20% rule on this, meaning I still have some things that are not strictly Paleo like parmesan cheese, gluten free spaghetti etc - just very little of it! Just Google Paleo ? there is a ton of info and recipe sites.

It's a life style change, so you need to find meals that you like. I found that getting much more organised with meal planning is key to staying on the straight and narrow. For lunches at work, I make big pots of curries and stews on the weekend with huge amounts of vegetables. Buy the takeaway containers and freeze portions, then there is no excuse to buy rubbish!

Also, don't focus on losing weight, focus on being healthy and the weight will automatically come off as a side effect of feeding your body healthy food. When you finished a meal consciously think about how the food made you feel, are you feeling bloated, lethargic or good and full of energy, this will help you work out what foods are best for you and your portion sizes. it's a process that takes time but is worth the effort!

If you interested in the cleansing program, pm me your email and I will get my wife to contact you with all the information.

Cheers

^^^7hatboy, thanks mate. I will give the Paleo a go soon.
Got home from work this arvo and instead of the usual sit on the lounge watching Fox, I put on the joggers and walked to Bondi along the coastal walk. From my joint that's 10-11 k. Put $20 bucks in my sock and currently at Bavarian Bier Cafe waiting for Mrs and kids to pick me up. Happy hour now

Mac, is this the type of treat you mean ?????

Old Scotty on the lounge.
New Scotty on fire.
