Consistent double head waves with 4 other guys between 6 & 8...sets started slowing down a bit & so did I on the shortboard. So popped in & grabbed the longboard & a drink. Good timing coz the circus was rolling into town. Got a big wide bomb on the first wave, taking off a bit late & nose diving just as I was about to bottom turn, got smashed. Few waves later I pulled back coz a set wave was gonna close out, a lot were today coz swell direction wasn't right. But I got sucked over the falls & hit the reef right out the back which is pretty deep, soz got smashed again lol...funny kinda day, fun coz it was big, but no way near as good as the hype people were hyping all week. Stoked to get 5 hours of consistent waves before I'm back at work for the next few days though

Was up at 4, back in bed by 5.30. It was out of control.

Yeah bit of a hung over swell yesterday, can imagine it would of been huge & dodgy down your reg spot. South Point probably would of been fun, but bit further drive & walk for you before the siren haha...you'll be laughing soon

Went and checked it and it's about 3 feet and bumpy with a weekend crowd all over it. Just paddled the river for an hour and will have a look later. There's always tomorrow . I'm not into weekend crowds.

You best move ever Pup

I had a shocker Vanders picked up some nice ones, the holiday crowd are dangerous, finished off with a nice breakfast at Kirra and a phone call from Asea who spotted me on the way home.

Yeah a nice morning early before the crowd grew, I got a couple of nice ones, enough to keep me happy anyway. The other fellas did get a few nice ones to the beach followed by the walk of fame.

It does puzzle me however why apparent surf coaches bring their learner clients out into the main takeoff area, especially somewhere like LM, copped 2 boards into the shins after the L platers took off in front of me encouraged by their coaches, then the next time it was the coach herself who dropped in on me and again a board into my ankle.

But I guess that goes with the time and place so what can ya do

Anyway better than not getting wet.

4-5 foot. A little inconsistent, but consistent when the sets came if that makes sense. Copped a flogging when I nose dived the longboard in a jacky one. And caught a right hander only to have three sets wash me north and came out through the left hander. Really wish I could duck dive a 9'4" sometimes.

Oh. It was onshore again. I am a bit of a specialist.
