Just back from fairly crowded high tide dribble but still got a few. Much prefer to surf in the morning or midday . Plenty of beards and scrawny log riders without leggies along with carpark hangers and some really loud crappy music. I was glad to get out of there. Maybe I'm getting old and cranky and I'm sure I would have been happier paddling the river than attending the carpark zoo this arvo. I'll be out there tomorrow on the lower tide when all the blow ins are at work or school.

Well we are still awaiting results from Macaha's demolition of a building LM swell , he should have taken it upon himself to clean up for the Greenroom ..... Vanders working - wildcard played .... the Technicolour Chippie picked up a valuable point ..... as did I and it was a decent bit of farking fun I must say ..... and that leaves Asea in grave danger of being pantsed the way this is going no where farken near hangin' 10 early today ...... unless it were our 2 hands worth on our prince charlie hey old cock

Leaderboard:
Macaha 3 ***

Well the Prez Asea & I hit the point early and proceeded to run amok it was a cracking surf this morning & there was some size to it ...... yar the great man was passed fit with only minutes to spare ...... old cock was on fire , a sweet cut & then caress of the lip followed by some very smart footwork on his first wave drew an extra 0.5 to his scoresheet on his Goldie Titans CW team board
My first one in the dark was a hairy big bastard of a thing but luckily enough I smashed the pisser out of it & then some the tricky farker .... farken sneak up on me in the dark you Walled up big blue farker .... geez

So that leaves the title race wide open with Macaha sneaking out to a slender lead & the Asea is back in town , and with that bonus 0.5 , is right back in the mix ..... ( if the classy old cock gets too near , we have a devious foolproof plan ..... we will purchase 3 Gourmet Pies and lay them in strategic places in the carpark , cock will not be able to resist that temptation and will surf like a bitch)

All roads head to Byron for the trim comp on the weekend should be good for more point scoring.

Good to hear Asea got off his lazy arse and you guys scored this morning still big tides.

Pretty decent east groundswell today. It was hitting pretty straight with lots of closeouts on the falling tide. Managed to pick a few off but the wind made it pretty hard. Can't complain because it was the biggest I'd been out in for some time. Rode my short board (10'6 ) and the water had a bit of a chill to it as well.

All roads lead to Agnes this weekend for the surf comp, unlike Byron it won't have traffic.

Funny looking D fin... kinda looks like on of Roys fins ... But without the fluted trailing edge.

I reckon i've seen them somewhere before. Hawaiian fin company, Fins Unltd.. someone like that and i think they had sides then too.

looks odd,.

Newcastle main beach again from 6:00am. With all the heros from Surfest coming around for free surf in gets pretty hectic once the sun comes up. Need headlights on my board.
Been riding a 9'2" as a single fin all week, and today after a couple I stuck the side bites back in. WOW, I will never ride single agian. First wave with all the fins back in took off right, big bottom turn and pulled up under the lip. Felt great.
Hate the feel of a single fin. Way to slow. Was able to get through to the reform on the shore with the fins in.

Dead flat but offshore at the hydro therapy pool with the 80yr olds again morning. Conditions hardly changed all week.

Point looked good & was getting better as tide dropped. Beaches looked fun on higher tide earlier.

Dbah looked fun on news last night except the entire surfing world / industry hangers on are in town.
