Yep, for all we know it could be the end of the human race, and it could be from us taking vaccines and killing ourselves over the next 10 years from side-effects, or not vaccinating ourselves quick enough and killing ourselves over the next 10 years from the virus.
But we do have history on our side. We know from the last one that if we do nothing other than treatment of the symptoms and accepting that some will die, that we end up with people alive at the end of it.
In some ways things were much simpler 100 years ago. There were no fears of governments engineering the virus. There was no fear of a vaccine that might cause problems as there just wasn't one. You either got lucky or you didn't.
I don't recall anyone saying that they saw plenty of people survive that pandemic because they ate organic though, as to my mind they probably all ate 'organic', yet still died or not.
